At the “Peace Talks and Gender” panel hosted by the EU at the UN, Hasina Jalal advocated for the recognition of Gender Apartheid in international law, particularly within the framework of the Crimes Against Humanity Convention currently being drafted. She urged the establishment of safe digital platforms to empower Afghan women’s activism, the bolstering of women’s rights organizations and businesses, and the importance of recognizing and amplifying the diverse voices of Afghan women in global conversations.
