As the UN General Assembly got underway, Hasina Jalal met with 15 key Permanent Representatives to the UN through a roundtable and bilateral meetings, including with the PRs of the US, UK, Albania, and Indonesia, as well as the NGO Working Group. In these meetings, she emphasized the urgent need to restore the full spectrum of women’s rights, create and protect spaces for human rights defenders, and ensure inclusive humanitarian aid.
