As the elected representative of Afghan students and scholars, Hasina Jalal formally addressed President Ashraf Ghani, Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani, and members of the official delegation to raise urgent concerns affecting Afghan students, scholars, and refugee communities abroad.

These high-level meetings, followed by sustained advocacy and coordination, led to tangible policy and administrative changes by both the Afghan and Indian governments. As a result, new measures were implemented to improve access to education, legal status, and institutional support for Afghan students and scholars, as well as for the broader Afghan immigrant and refugee population.
